Today is a day of profound joy, thanksgiving, and hope. We are gathered together—sisters, family, friends, and colleagues—to celebrate a remarkable milestone: the jubilee of 9 of our Dominican Sisters of Hope who together represent 585 Years of dedicated service!

To our jubilarians, on behalf of everyone here, we offer our deepest gratitude for the gift of your lives and for your steadfast fidelity to God. What an honor it is for us to be a part of this special day with you. As we celebrate your years of consecrated life, we are truly celebrating a mystery unfolding in time—the beautiful, continuous unfolding of God’s plan.

Over your many years of service, you have embodied the Dominican charism of truth, compassion, and hope. You have been trailblazers, ministers, and preachers, bringing light to the world through your actions. With courage and trust in God, you have been attentive to the cries of the earth and the poor, and you have responded with your unwavering commitment to care for all of creation.

This is a day to look back with gratitude and forward with hope. Looking back, we see lives dedicated to living the Gospel, to serving others, and to radiating the love of Christ in so many ways. In classrooms, in the homes of those needing care, in parishes, in advocacy work, and in quiet contemplation, your “yeses” to God have touched countless lives, bringing healing, justice, and peace.

And looking forward, we are inspired by your continued witness. Your fidelity to God is a reminder that our Loving God of Hope can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.  And there seem to be so many more needs as the people and the planet struggle so desperately, calling each of us to be a presence of Hope in all we say and do.

So today, let us rejoice in the love of God that has guided and sustained you. Let us also give thanks for all who support you on this journey. Your jubilee is a source of joy and renewal for all of us, reminding us of the faithfulness of a loving God.

Thank you, jubilarians, for sharing your lives and your gifts with us. May God bless all of us with continued joy and peace as we  journey forward in Hope.

And now let us begin our celebration!
