Zoom Debrief:
Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation
On September 5th, 45 Catholic Sisters and people of faith sailed the Hudson River to raise awareness about pollution in the Hudson River.
The event, organized by Religious Organizations Along the River (ROAR) and the Metro New York Catholic Climate Movement, was an opportunity to heal our relationship with the natural world and bring attention to a major threat to the region’s waterways. Join us on Zoom to hear about their experience, learn about leachate, and pray together.

On September 5th, 45 Catholic Sisters and people of faith sailed the Hudson on a Pilgrimage for Creation.
For those who couldn’t rally at the water’s edge and board the Clearwater Sloop, we’ve created a Zoom opportunity to learn about water quality and the health of marine life, pray, and speak with environmental leaders. The pilgrims will also share highlights from their journey.

“A pilgrimage is a journey towards the sacred. Humans are kin to creation…We need a new way of living and being, to recognize we’re all part of one single sacred community.”
-Sister Sr. Carol De Angelo, SC
